The Brief
This project was a creative exploration of light, movement, and atmosphere, blending portrait photography with dynamic smoke effects. Shot at sunrise on the beach, the goal was to create striking, surreal visuals while experimenting with smoke emitters and strobe lighting.
Our Approach
🌅 Golden Hour & Atmospheric Effects – Shooting at sunrise provided soft, natural light, while the smoke emitters added an element of mystery and movement.
💡 Strobe Photography for Precision – To properly expose both Summer Leigh and the swirling smoke, we used strobe lighting, allowing for sharp, well-lit portraits against the soft, ambient background.
🎭 Expressive Motion & Shapes – By allowing the smoke to flow naturally and encouraging Summer to interact with it, we created unique shapes and patterns, making every shot one-of-a-kind.
