Case Study: Knitty or Nice – A Story of Passion, Colour & Craft
The Project
This was one of our very first video projects — focused on telling the stories of small business owners and the passion behind what they do. We teamed up with Telma, the founder of Knitty or Nice, to capture her journey from hobbyist to full-time yarn dyer and creative entrepreneur.
The Approach
🧶 Story First: We centered the video on Telma’s voice, her process, and the love she pours into every skein of yarn.
🎥 DIY Spirit: Shot simply and authentically, the goal was to make it feel like you were stepping into her world — bright colours, beautiful textures, and thoughtful craft.
🎨 Celebrate the Process: We highlighted the beauty in the details: the dyeing, the drying, the packing — all done by hand in her Toronto workspace.

The Results
The video captured not just a product, but a person and a process. It helped tell the story behind the yarn — one rooted in creativity, individuality, and care. Telma’s work now ships across North America, and it’s been amazing to watch her grow. We’re proud this was one of our first — because it’s still one of our favourites.
