Client: Ford Motor Company
Series: Celebrating Canadian Volunteers – Episode 6
Brief: Highlight and celebrate everyday Canadians making a difference, showcasing their authentic stories and how their Ford vehicle plays a role in their lives.
The Approach
For Episode 6, we traveled to Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, to tell the story of Gus Doiron, a dedicated volunteer firefighter who relies on his Ford truck in his service to the community. Our goal was to create a video that felt real, human, and inspiring—capturing Gus’s dedication, his training, and the vital role of volunteers like him in small-town Canada.
Execution
🚒 On-Location Filming – We followed Gus to his training grounds and documented his routine, capturing the grit, focus, and community spirit behind his work.

🎤 Authentic Storytelling – Rather than scripting, we let Gus tell his story in his own words, bringing out his genuine passion for volunteering.

🚙 Ford in Action – His Ford truck wasn’t just a backdrop; it was a crucial tool in his daily life—helping him respond to calls, train, and support his team.
The Result
A compelling, cinematic short film that honored Gus’s commitment to protecting his community while seamlessly integrating Ford’s brand ethos of strength, reliability, and community support. This episode became a powerful piece in the larger series—showcasing real Canadians and the real impact they make.
