Dear Rouge - AD

To hype the release of Dear Rouge’s “Boys and Blondes” music video, UMC commissioned this short promo spot for their social channels. It’s the kind of track that you turn way up on your speakers, so we thought we’d convey that by paying homage to Maxell’s classic “Chair Man” ad. We really wanted to incorporate some motion to illustrate the volume of the speaker, butlocation restrictions prevented us from renting a fan powerful enough to affect the props. Our workaround was to use post production to animate both the lampshade and the wine glass, which were stationary in reality, but are being blown back by the sound in the final spot.
