Case Study: Amsterdam Brewery – A Creative Behind-the-Scenes on 16mm
The Project
This passion project was a behind-the-scenes short film capturing the atmosphere and energy of Amsterdam Brewery in Toronto. It wasn’t a commercial job—it was about exploring process, craft, and the heartbeat of a local business through a creative lens.
The Approach
🎞 Shot on Bolex 16mm Film: Leaning into a vintage aesthetic, we used a Bolex film camera to give the piece texture, grain, and an old-school cinematic feel.

🍻 Focus on Craft: We highlighted the hands-on brewing process, from tanks to taps, capturing the small details that tell a bigger story.

🎥 Atmosphere Over Narration: No voiceover, no script—just raw, real moments that reflect the character and culture of the space.
The Results
The final piece is a visual love letter to local craftsmanship. It honors not just beer-making, but the spirit of small business—where people, process, and passion come together. It's a reminder that storytelling doesn’t always need words—it just needs presence.
